95, of Bayonne, passed away at home on February 13, 2017, with her family by her side. Born in Clymer, PA., Eleanor has resided in Bayonne for many years. Eleanor was a homemaker. She was an active member of the Bayonne Chapter of Deborah and the Young at Heart Seniors Group. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Arthur J. Mariano (in 1989), her son Gary Mariano; and her parents, Joseph and Helen (Ceplenski) Makowski; her sisters, Pearl Saliski, Catherine Turek, and Jean Maryanski; and her three brothers, Chester, Frank, and Henry Makowski. Left to cherish her legacy are her daughters, Vera Mariano, and Barbara Bogdan and her husband Jack; her son Arthur Mariano; her grandchildren, Jason Iskra and his wife Sherry Hegel, Rachelle Mariano, Gregory Bogdan and his partner Anthony Vitale, and Janice Strugano and her husband Ron; and four great-grandchildren, Aliya, Jaelyn, and Kylie Iskra, and Alyssa Strugano.
