The first sale took place on June 18 and saw the Galaxy M40 going out of stock in minutes, which seems to suggest that consumers have taken to the phone’s unique Infinity-O punch-hole display. The Galaxy M40 is priced at Rs 19,990 in India and comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. This makes it the most expensive Galaxy M phone yet. Some offers on Amazon India include up to Rs 1,500 instant discount on ICICI Bank Credit and Debit Card on EMI transactions.Samsung Galaxy M40 specificationsThe Galaxy M40 is the first in its segment to offer a punch-hole display. It sports a 6.3-inch FHD+ (2340×1080) Infinity-O LCD display with Gorilla Glass protection and 91 per cent screen ratio. While the device offers an attractive Infinity-O display, it is nonetheless an LCD panel rather than AMOLED. The Galaxy A50 and the more affordable Galaxy M30 offer Super AMOLED displays in comparison. The Galaxy M40 also comes without a headphone jack, which may disappoint audiophiles who own quality wired earphones. The Galaxy M40 also comes with a smaller battery compared to the Galaxy M30 and Galaxy A50, which means one shouldn’t expect the battery life to last beyond a full day.Samsung’s latest Galaxy M phone offers a smooth, lag-free performance thanks to the Snapdragon 675 paired with plenty of RAM and an optimised One UI software. The phone also offers a versatile 32MP triple camera setup, which is decent when shooting in daylight conditions. If you’re looking for raw performance, last year’s Poco F1 still hold strong today. If you’re looking for a better display, then you’re better off going with the Galaxy A50, which is currently available for as low as Rs 18,490.ALSO READ | Samsung Galaxy A50 at Rs 18,490: Should you buy it over Galaxy M40?ALSO READ | Samsung Galaxy M40 review: A unique display but Galaxy A50 offers a lot moreGet real-time alerts and all the news on your phone with the all-new India Today app. Download from Post your comment Do You Like This Story? Aston Martin Stuffed V-8 Engine into a Pipsqueak City Car for Laughs

first_img This $500,000 Armored Bentley Protects Against Hand Grenade Attacks Aston Martin Aston Martin Aston Martin Escape the City and the Roads with the 2020 Subaru Outback Aston Martin Aston Martin 1 of 12 Commissioned through the brand’s Q Branch, the V-8 that powers this pint-sized vehicle was plucked from the outgoing Vantage’s engine bay, and likely using a healthy dose of grease and Vaseline, crammed into the Cygnet’s nose. The engine is good for 430 horsepower and 361 lb-ft of torque, both of which are sent through a seven-speed Sportshift transmission to the rear wheels via what Aston Martin call, “a miniature torque tube.”Keeping the 2,600-lb Cygnet’s power to the ground, though nearly impossible, are a set of Bridgestone tires. The rears somehow measure 275/35-9.5. To accommodate the extensive renovations, which also included a full roll cage, new firewalls, and a new fuel tank, the Cygnet has been widened and stretched, though the exterior remains largely the same as when it was new.According to Aston Martin, the V-8 Cygnet is capable of hitting 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds, likely smoking the tires all the way, and a terrifying top speed of 170 mph. Though we’re not sure who’d be brave enough to test that number.Speaking ahead of its Goodwood debut, Aston Martin’s vice president and special operations officer David King said, “The V-8 Cygnet shows the fun side of both Aston Martin and its customers. It is also a fine example of the engineering talent within the company as it’s no small achievement to fit the Vantage’s V-8 engine so harmoniously into the Cygnet’s compact body. I’m sure that it will amaze and thrill people when they see and hear it on the hill at the Festival of Speed.”We’re still not sure this isn’t some elaborate and belated April Fools prank. As a brand, Aston Martin isn’t quite known for its quirky sense of humor. Rather, the British marquee has prided itself as one of the most distinguished and elegant automakers in the game. That’s why, when the Goodwood Festival of Speed came around and Aston Martin dropped a V-8-powered Cygnet, we had to check our calendars that it wasn’t April Fools and reach out to Aston’s PR folk to ask if they were feeling alright. For those that have never heard of the Aston Martin Cygnet, this city car actually comes from Toyota. It was powered by a 1.3-liter engine making just 97 horsepower. The brand child of the brand’s former CEO, Ulrich Bez, he had hoped it would help Aston meet European Union emissions standards. Yet, all the little Cygnet really amounted to was a series of jokes and a serious devaluation of the storied history of Aston Martin. This Cygnet, however, erases that mediocrity with a healthy dose of Aston Martin lunacy. At least 14 killed in California mass shooting

Hours later the police shot dead one of the three shooters fleeing on the SUV. There was exchange of fire between them.“I know there is an active scene, there were shots fired and a suspect is down,” Sergeant Vicki Cervantes of San Bernardino Police told reporters. “We have a domestic terrorist-type situation here. The suspects were armed with long guns. They came prepared to do what they did, as if they were on a mission,” San Bernardino Police Department Chief Jarrod Burguan told reporters at a news conference. After the attack, the three gunmen fled on a black SUV, witnesses said. “Congress has a moral responsibility to vote on common sense measures to prevent the daily agony of gun violence in communities across America. Enough is enough,” she said.“I refuse to accept this as normal. We must take action to stop gun violence now,” Hillary Clinton, the Democratic presidential, candidate said.Leading Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, who was in Virginia started his election rally with a moment’s silence in honor of the shooting victims. The FBI said that so far, it was unclear if the shooting was a “terrorist incident. (Courtesy PTI) In an interview to CBS news US President Barack Obama concedes that new laws can’t stop every mass shooting, but can “improve the odds they don’t happen as frequently”. “The US has a pattern of mass shootings in the US that have no parallel anywhere else in the world. The needs to be changed, he said”.In a statement, California Governor Edmund Brown said his administration will spare no effort in bringing these killers to justice.Noting that yet another American community is reeling from the horror of gun violence, Nancy Pelosi, the Democratic leader, said gun violence is a crisis of epidemic proportions in the US. A body could be seen near a bullet-riddled SUV, with dozens of police vehicles swarming around.Burguan later tweeted that: “Suspects are down, one officer wounded. Details still unfolding.”He warned residents living near the scene of the police confrontation with the suspects to stay in their homes. At least 14 people have been killed and 17 others injured after three heavily armed gunmen opened fire inside a centre for the disabled in the US state of California before fleeing the scene, officials said. The mass shooting took place inside a packed conference room located within Inland Regional Centre in San Bernardino, which assists people with developmental disabilities. read more
