Their last road game will be on March 23 against NLEX at Angeles University Foundation in Pampanga, another match moved out of town due to venue and schedule conflicts.Marcial, however, is happy things worked out that way.“It’s no secret that our fans outside Manila have always clamored for a Ginebra game and I guess, this is an opportunity for them to be able to watch Ginebra live,” said Marcial. “So in a way, I’m happy that we suddenly find ourselves with a lot of Ginebra games in the provinces.”Every Ginebra game out of town represents a big sacrifice for the PBA, which earns more when the Kings play in Metro Manila. That, plus the fact that the league wants equal exposure for all of its teams in provincial sorties, limits the chances to send Ginebra out of town. The only out-of-town schedule this conference without the Kings will be on March 16, when San Miguel Beer battles Phoenix in Panabo City, Davao del Norte.ADVERTISEMENT Ginebra beats Meralco again to capture PBA Governors’ Cup title In fight vs corruption, Duterte now points to Ayala, MVP companies as ‘big fish’ In fight vs corruption, Duterte now points to Ayala, MVP companies as ‘big fish’ Carpio hits red carpet treatment for China Coast Guard PLAY LIST 02:14Carpio hits red carpet treatment for China Coast Guard02:56NCRPO pledges to donate P3.5 million to victims of Taal eruption00:56Heavy rain brings some relief in Australia02:37Calm moments allow Taal folks some respite03:23Negosyo sa Tagaytay City, bagsak sa pag-aalboroto ng Bulkang Taal01:13Christian Standhardinger wins PBA Best Player award Japeth Aguilar wins 1st PBA Finals MVP award for Ginebra Philippine Army to acquire MANPADS, self-propelled howitzers Tom Brady most dominant player in AFC championship history Gilas with two injured big men as next Fiba window nears LATEST STORIES MOST READ Sports Related Videospowered by AdSparcRead Next Nadine Lustre’s phone stolen in Brazil Ginebra beats Meralco again to capture PBA Governors’ Cup title Gretchen Barretto’s daughter Dominique graduates magna cum laude from California college But as glad as he is that things worked out that way, commissioner Willie Marcial said the league’s most popular team going on the road that many times is a mere coincidence—a product of schedule and venue conflicts.“It’s a result of several factors,” said Marcial. “Hindi namin sinadya.”FEATURED STORIESSPORTSGolden State Warriors sign Lee to multiyear contract, bring back ChrissSPORTSCoronation night?SPORTSThirdy Ravena gets‍‍‍ offers from Asia, Australian ball clubsHe added: “For example, the game between Ginebra and Rain or Shine was supposed to be held in Guam.
